Utah offers plenty of exciting opportunities for skiing and snowboarding. Utah ski resorts have a wonderful combination of professional skiers and boarders in nearby residence, excellent snow, and proximity to major airports. Whether you want to ski or go snowboarding (or even if you want to enjoy doing both!), Utah is a beautiful and fun place to plan your next winter skiing trip.

The two main areas around which the resorts are located are Park City and Salt Lake City. Because there are just so many ski resorts, it’s a really good idea to do your research in advance and decide which one is best for you. Don’t forget that Salt Lake City and Park City are a mere half an hour’s drive away from each other, so there’s no reason why you can’t visit both on the same trip! Salt Lake City has a big advantage in that it has a major airport that’s closest to both resort areas.

To get an idea of what package deals are available for Utah ski resorts in the time of you’d like to travel, visit several different travel agencies online. You’ll find that there are lots of different choices. Depending on your budget, you could stay in anything from an inexpensive motel to a grand hotel with a complete spa resort.

As you look around online at different travel sites, you’ll very likely come across packages that include bonuses such as free lift tickets, if you purchase a hotel stay of a certain length or a combination of both plane tickets and hotel reservations. It pays to shop around if you want to take advantage of these great deals!

Of course, before you leave for your trip, you’ll want to check out the snow reports for the area you’re visiting. Maps of the ski runs are available online for most of the Utah ski resorts, as well. To get the most from your trip, be prepared! Once you’ve reached your destination and start having fun, you’ll be glad you did.
