In our technology-driven world, having a site is like having one’s own name in the phone book maybe 25 years in the past. The amateur who wishes to become a site publisher will find that getting a start on this is far more complicated than it may appear to be.

Prior to selecting a web host and the requisite web hosting plan, it is wise to first understand the function and the purpose of the web host. Whether your needs are professional or personal, this knowledge is very important for selecting from among the many web hosting companies and plans.

A web host gives you space for your files which includes a web site on dedicated computers known as servers. Your web host will supply you the Internet connection which will let the files to be shown on an Internet connected system anywhere on the planet. If you are not having a connection, then most of the web hosts will provide the connection to the Internet.

It is possible to host a web site directly from a computer, but it is not easy to do. In order to work correctly, web hosting must have high speed links and business-grade ability. You will also need to have a computer which is set aside only for your web hosting assignment.

Even with a broadband connection, it’s not feasible. Broadband connection with good download speeds may quickly get inundated with external ping requests from website visitors. Because of such issues, web hosting from a personal computer is just not going to be workable.

There are various hosting plans to be considered prior to hosting your web site. They are basically service contracts which are charge keeping in mind the expected quantity of data that will flow from and to your site. Private web sites normally send and get a good deal smaller amount of data compared to business websites. Nevertheless, if you have busy personal web sites, you can make use of business hosting plans.

As alternatives, there are hosting plans that are free as well as those that are funded by advertisements placed on the web sites that they host. Free web hosting is usually not appropriate for a business since it may not convey professionalism; it is also not a good option for those who need technical assistance.

In today’s technology driven world, having a web site is similar to having your name in the yellow pages was 25 years ago. The beginner who wants to become a web site publisher will discover that publishing a web site is much more complicated than it might look at first. Before publishing a web site, it is necessary to select a web host and hosting plan. Prior to selecting the web host and the required web hosting plan, you should first understand the role and the responsibility of a web host. Web hosts provide space for customer’s web site files on specialized computers referred to as servers.

Learn To Stop Spyware Before It Hurts Your PC

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

My friend is an outdoorsman, at least that’s what he dreams of, on a day to day basis he tunes up home computers and does an exceptional job and has a fine reputation. If I have a personal computer quandary, he’s the emergency number I reach for and no matter how challenging or convoluted the problem, give him some leeway and he’ll find a way out. He mentioned something disconcerting the other night, it seems that 80% of the home computers he services have spyware or adware on their systems, and many his clients are unaware of it; e-mailing him when their systems grind to a halt.

The Internet is similar to a living, breathing creature continually developing, and sometimes not in a constructive path, though it definitely has given me opportunities. As the calendar turns and expertise moves forward, so also does malware, spyware and adware. It is critical in this day and age to have Spyware Removal tools on your system and to schedule scans on a regualr basis; imperative is running software updates, because what worked yesterday may overlook a new type ofvirus or adwarecoded since the previous scan.

As a test for this article (but not using this system) I performed a test, removing my anti spyware, anti adware software then visiting several auto surf sites. These sites are perfect for new webmasters, providing them the method to send people to particular websites, accomplished by their at other sites. The operation is performed this way:

A person visits a particular site and receives credits for looking at the site The credits are assigned to a site you want to promote. Then When someone else surfs, your website is offered for review. The system is designed so everyone gets a look at someone elses site.

In theory this is a beautiful plan, but some (not all) of these sites are either part of a larger entity or frequented by marketers who are less than honest. Their intent is not to simply display their offer or website, but to install spyware on your computer. And with today’s technology some of this malware is intelligient enough to start the download of spyware/adware onto your computer, simply by looking at their innocent looking marketing offer. I’m not criticizing these sites or suggesting that all are bad, I am recommending vigilance and suggesting you be certain your computer is protected.

If you’re reading this, statistics say you may already have or will certainly fall victim to spyware or adware. If you’re thinking, I don’t visit those kinds of sites and I definetely don’t install illegal software, then pat yourself on the back, but you are still at risk. Take the safeguard and guard yourself your system. Remember the old warning…

’an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure’

In this day and age it not only makes good sense, its mandatory to protect yourself. Many of your files, either from your job or personal reasons; just imagine getting up to discover all your details gone. Appalling, completely… Could it happen?… It’s happened to others. Preventable? Yes by installing the best adware removal tools.

Okay are you listening now, perhaps you’re wondering what exactly will spyware and adware do to my computer. Outstanding, happy to know you’re taking heed. Mostly spyware and adware are not are not created to ruin your system, instead they are like a fly on the wall. Collecting datathen reporting back to a website; the spyware sometimes will initiate pop-ups and they most certainly can smother your PC, slow your processor and lessen your connection to the net. It’s not so much the damage done, but the fact that your life, your privacy, your system has been breached and these people (whomever they are) have no right to be there.

I’m very grateful there are smart programmers that feel precisely the way I feel; this means these programmers want to do something about it. I don’t know how to write code, My skill is writing, and I offer this article to offer advance warning and propose you take precautions and guard your PC. I thank those defenders of safe browsing with the hard work and heart to code and make available these fine spyware/adware removal programs.

When you decide on one of the spyware/malware programs to install, I’d suggest regular scans of your PC. When the automatic features of the program are used, you’ll find it does most of the grunt work automatically, and in all probability while you’re asleep.

Confused at which tool you should use to listen to your favorite audio books?

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

The beauty with audio books is that you have more than one option for listening to them.

There are many options when it comes to listening to to audio books, you are not forced into one option.

If you are someone who likes listening while seated on your favorite couch or seated on your desk, listening to your audio book on your cassette tape player (if the audio book is in audiocassette tape, of course) is the option for you.

But if you have a desktop or laptop computer, you might prefer listening to your audio book from it.

It is most likely that your PC already has some software for playing audio books. It's not very likely but, if your personal computer does not have any, you can still download them for free on the Internet. The 2 best digital audio players that you can get completely free to download from the Internet include:

- RealOne Player: This can be downloaded free of charger here; http://www.Real.com

- Windows Media Player: This is available for download free of charge on their website - http://www.Microsoft.com

But if you would rather listen to your audio book while doing your household chores, dancing, exercising, jogging, commuting to and fro work, etc, then you would need portable audio playback devices that you can carry around and listen to, preferably with an earphone.

With the ever expanding market of portable audio playback devices, it goes to show that more and more people are now using them, because of the wonderful benefits they provide.

CD players and CD Rom devices are the most common form of these portable audio playback devices. You can carry these around with you while you do your household chores, exercise, jog or commute to and fro work.

The more advanced form of portable players, used for playing audio books, include;

— Audio-ready PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants). Some of these PDAs include Casio CASSIOPEIA and Compaq iPAQ. Both can be pretty expensive, costing as much as about $500 for the Compaq iPAQ and about $400 for the Casio CASSIOPEIA.

— Compatible Portable Audio Players. Some of these include the Creative’s NOMAD Jukebox 3 and the SONICblue’s Rio 900. These are cheaper than PDAs. For example, you can get the SONICblue's Rio 900 for about $250 from sites such as Sonicblue.com

Finally, like I said in the start of this article, whatever tool you decide to use in listening to your audio books will depend largely on “how” you prefer listening to your audio books.

For example, for the "young and restless" teenagers they can't do without the PDAs. You wouldn't either, if you were their age, right? The 'good old' cassette tape could not be a better format for the "aged and rusty", who would rather just be sat on their favorite sofa!

A really good place that I have come across to download audio books is Spoken Network. You can get these at:
