Bought this for my boyfriend and his iPhone. He loves it. It’s saved him from a jam more than once… It charged right up and charges the battery in the iPhone nicely. It also doubles as another plug-in charger, so it was definitely worth the money!

5 Stars So Far So Good
Purchased the Kennsington to charge my iPod Touch 2G and I must say Im very pleased thusfar. On “test runs”, I let my iPod drain down to about 25% battery and recharged with the Kennsington. Quick recharge. Did this two more times before having to recharge the Kennsington. Real life trip flying and watching video, same results. Three recharges with a little juice to spare. Smaller than the iPod in size, lightweight. The only downside, and its minor unless your really pressed for space - It takes two cables to work, a mini USB for charging the battery pack and a standard USB to charge the iPod.

This came very quickly and I was happy with the item. I was using the Energizer battery before and it was not a good product. This item works great. I wish it had a carrying case so I could keep it with the Ipod but thats minor. All in all I was very happy with it.

3 Stars Does it work for iTouch (newest version)
Does anyone know if this works with the newest iTouch (the one with the speaker) since most of my old iPod gadgets do not work with the new iTouch??? I really want to get one but need to make sure it works right.

4 Stars Get the BIGGER Kensington battery…
I owned this product for four days, then returned it soon after. It is not because the product did not work, I just did not like the fact that when I put the battery in my pocket attached to my iPhone, I was afraid to break the connector/connection in my pocket and have no battery anymore. I upgraded to the larger version of the Kensington Battery Pack and Charger…which uses the USB/iPhone/iPod connection cable. And plus the battery with ac/usb adapter is only $10 more on Amazon.

This product worked like a charm…I discharged my iPhone till it gave me the 20% battery warning and it would take a little over an hour for my iPhone to be battery full or until I depleted the Kensington battery. It was only good for the single charge on a busy day on an iPhone.

Just consider your use before you purchase with either kensington product.

This charger works great. I’ve had a few Kensington products and they all work really well. The supplied Mini USB cable was a nice touch and allows simultaneous charging of the battery pack and the iPhone.

3 Stars Cannot Use Charger and Listen to Ipod Touch at the same time.
Ok, i was really excited to get this charger. It looked cool and had good reviews. It does work great, i will give it that. My only oversight that I am wanting others to be aware of, is for the 1st Generation Ipod Touch, the headphone jack is located on the bottom right of the Ipod. When you plug this thing in, it completely covers up the headphone jack. So, if you are watching a cool movie and your battery runs low you have to stop and wait for it to charge. Tip: If you are traveling, keep it attached when you are not using your Ipod so it stays charged until you need it. Or, you can play a game that doesn’t require sound, it’s just a little harder to hold the Ipod and i keep dropping it in my lap.

The only downside to my iPhone was running out of battery tiwsrds the end of the day. This battery is dependable, low profile and perfectly priced. I recommend it highly.

4 Stars No problems here….
Sure it’s not going to charge your ipod/iphone 3-4 times on one charge, but in a pinch if you find yourself with a dead battery this little guy will get you through. It has the capacity to charge my iPhone 3G from 20% to 100% (in about 1 hour) and that’s about it. If you want/need more capacity that that, you need to buy a larger battery. For me this works about perfect.

I haven’t had any compatibility problems. None of those annoying “airplane mode” messages. I just plug it into my iPhone, and it beeps and shows that it’s charging. You can continue to use the phone with the charger attached. It basically works just like you have the sync/charging cable plugged into a USB port.
