ACOUSTIBUDS Silicone Adapters for Earphones AND Bluetooth Headsets MADE IN THE USA Fits iPod iPhone Zune Walkman Jawbone 2 Blueant Z9 Jabra BT3010 and many more Black Two Pair and Two Sizes

Overview: Acoustibuds is a novel earpiece fitting for earphones sold with iPods, iPhones and most MP3 players. Acoustibuds revitalizes these earphones to provide unparalleled retention, comfort, enriched acoustics and sound isolation. Stays in better: Acoustibuds use closely spaced flexible fins to stay in the ear more securely. The series of tall, soft and conformable fins flex in a manner that easily fit and retain to the ear. Even with perspiration and extreme physical activity, these fins continue to hold the earphone securely in place due to their unique profile and spacing. Sounds better: Superior sound isolation is also created with the fins. The seal they provide helps to eliminate air gaps and create a multitude of sound barriers that both block out unwanted noise from outside and keep audio from escaping from the inside. Volume and bass frequencies are amplified allowing operation of your MP3 at a lower volume setting. Inside, the “Twin Cone Core” better channels the sound wave in your ear. The twin cone core guides the sound wave like a miniature acoustic horn to minimize sound impedance to provide enriched middle and upper range frequencies. The fit of the earphone to your ear and how the sound wave is channeled inside your ear are fundamental to acoustic quality. Both the fins and the twin cone core features are firsts for earphones and are unique to Acoustibuds audio technology. Feels better: Acoustibuds are formed from very soft hypoallergenic silicone rubber. This material, the fin geometry and the earpiece structure help to conform to the shape of the ear and provide increased comfort.
User Ratings and Reviews
4 Stars Acoustibuds, an inexpensive noise isolation solution!
I have a Jabra BT5020 bluetooth headset and am constantly misplacing the manufacturer earbuds since they only stay on securely for the first week. The stock Jabra earbuds either stick in you ears when you remove the headset or drop off when you least expect it. I looked all over the ‘Net to find BT5020 earbud replacements, and there are none!
I demo’ed Acoustibuds at the 2009 CES, and loved them as soon as I put them on. They are the perfect size replacement and provide more noise isolation than the stock Jabra earbuds. I would recommend you try both sizes on the Acoustibuds, since the #6 is a little snug on my ears (hey, it was free). When it wears out (they seem to be pretty sturdy, so it might be a while), I’ll reorder a set of #5’s. I haven’t tried them on regular headphones yet, but I’m sure that they work even better in both ears.
1 Star Going against the trend, the earbuds are terrible!
After reading the rave reviews written about these adapters, including improving sound quality and blocking outside noise, I decided to try them. You’ll receive two pairs of adapters, one small pair and one large pair. The instructions state the user should experiment with both sizes because ear sensitivity changes from time to time. Being an Engineer, my internal radar system went off when I read the part “Results may vary”. After fitting and trying each set of adapters with my original iPod earbuds, I still heard quite a lot of external noise and when trying to obtain a better fit, the fins began to irritate my ear canal. After what I thought had the best fit, I used them in my office environment and got great feedback from my co-workers as to how much of a “Nerd” I looked like with these contraptions in my ears. By the end of the day I felt like I was wearing Steve Martin’s “The Jerk” invention, Optigrab handle for glasses. In my opinion, these adapters don’t work as well as the ordinary Noise Blocking earbuds and they really don’t improve sound quality (I didn’t know this claim of better bass and response could be made by others in the first place). I also purchased a set of Sennheiser CX-300-B Noise-blocking earbuds and love them. Save your money on these adapters and purchase a good set of earbuds.
1 Star They don’t fit
As several of the other reviewers stated, these are way too big to fit in the ear canal as the instructions show. I find it hard to believe that these will work for most people.
2 Stars Also disappointed.
I agree with a previous reviewer, the buds are just too big. I can manage to squeeze the smaller size in my ear a little, but in reality they need to be smaller. The larger size are no good at all. My wife has even more trouble. I don’t know if we have small ears or most of the other reviewers are elephants.
On the positive side, they do improve the sound on standard iPod buds, but because of the hassle of inserting them, they will end of collecting dust in the drawer.
3 Stars A little disappointed
Got these to help keep my original earbuds that came with my Sony Walkman MP3 player from falling out of my ears when I work out everyday. A little disappointed. They are just earbud covers, and the circular part that fits inside your ears is a bit large.. they still don’t fit securely in my ears. They do help a LITTLE bit, but I think it’s only because they are rubber, and that helps them stick in better, but not enough to justify buying these over a custom set of earbuds that might fit better. They don’t change the sound quality of the music at all. If you are buying these soley to keep your earbuds from falling out of your ears as I was, you may be disappointed.
