Logitech 970285 0403 X 240 2 1 Speakers Black

The stow-away MP3 cradle makes the Logitech X-240 speakers more than just a great speaker system for your computer. Connect your digital audio player with the included auxiliary cable, or use your own USB/power cable to sync, charge and play digital music from your iPod, Zune, PDA or mobile phone. Dynamic, real-time bass equalization maximizes bass response from the down-firing subwoofer while high-excursion drivers provide rich sound from the slim, stylish satellites.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars I love the sound but the dock is a bit hokey
I have had logitec speakers in the past and i loved them. And with the price at %40 off these were the easy choice. The sound is good for computer speakers. The dock for the MP3 player should have just been an iPod dock instead of trying to work for everything. You have to use two hands to remove the iPod from the dock so that the dock doesn’t come apart. Also the cables run down the face of the dock and obstruct access to the power button. So my only complaint is the dock otherwise 5 stars.

5 Stars Happy Buyer
I purchased these Logitech speakers about three weeks ago and I am more than pleased with their sound. I heard them live at Target, where they cost $50, and I would’ve have spent that if I hadn’t seen the Amazon listing Hooked-up to my Toshiba laptop, they are performing beautifully and provide more than enough great sound whether at low or high volume. I use the iTunes equalizer settings and get good balance between treble and bass and, for the first time, midrange values offer detail than I usually hear only from my home stereo. At around $30 from Amazon, I couldn’t ask for a better solution for my home office music pleasure. Note: I don’t use the iPOd cradle although having an easy to find volume switch makes it worthwhile.

5 Stars In Love!
For the price I’ve paid, these are the best speakers I’ve ever had. I had $100 speakers before, and then I bought these, and I think the set up and quality of these are better! Great full sound! Bass is easily adjusted, and for the size packs a mighty punch! Very impressive. The mp3 stand is also really great, and comes with an adapter for any zune or iPod that allows you to listen to your mp3 player with your speakers while it charges! Just an all around great item! Highly recommended.

1 Star Does not work any longer
I loved the sound when I first got it. I am very disappointed as I haven’t used it in a couple months and now there is nothing. I thought spending more for these that it would last a long time as I only use it when I get emails that require volume.

How do I get it replaced AMazon?

2 Stars Stay Away From This!
First of let me give you a quick background.

I gave my old speakers (X-230’s) to my brother and bought the X-240’s expecting about the same performance if not better + an mp3 dock…

I terribly mistaken! The X-230’s is superior to the X-240 in practically every way. The X-240’s sound is flat (probably cause there is only one speaker per satellite) and I occasionally get a VERY ANNOYING “crack and pop” sound coming from the speakers. Keep in mind that I never blast the my music (volume is at a considerable level). The popping becomes unbearable when playing PC games or listening to music. The thing that is irritating is that it doesn’t always “crack and pop.” So yo can be playing a game / listening to music and it will randomly start. It totally ruins your listening experience.

At first I thought maybe I just had a defective piece but there are many people like my self suffering from the “cracking and popping” (check out some online forums). I am not even going to bother trying to send it to Logitech. This product makes Logitech look bad.

I ordered the Logitech Z-2300’s to replace this garbage.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars great little product
The photos of the product online don’t tell the story. They’re tiny, but really cool. Yes, I agree that the amount of separation between speakers is limited to a fairly short leash, so to speak, but these are not room speakers after all. I have used them with Skype, and with my iPhone. I think they’re terrific, and I love their portability. Very innovation design.

4 Stars Little speakers, big sound
These speakers are surprisingly loud for their compact size. Their are ideal as easy access computer/mp3 player speakers. And for 50 bucks its kinda hard to go wrong. The only slightly disappointing thing about these speakers is they generate some feedback if you are using them while charging at the same time, not a big deal though because I end up just not charging them while using them to get the best quality. Good buy

1 Star very poor sound
I hate to go against the majority here (ok, no I don’t) but I just purchased two sets of these speakers and they sounded awful. Really small and tinny. My laptop (powerbook aluminium) internal speakers sounded better! Also the cord that hooks everything together is a bit of a jumbled mess. I’d avoid these. Mine went back already…

5 Stars Great little speakers
I got these for Christmas and have only charged them once because I thought I needed to, but I’m thinking now that it wasn’t necessary. But they were charge about a week after I got them. I’ve been using these speakers at work for the past month and the batterires haven’t been charged since that first time, and I use them off and on for 8 hours while I’m working. Maybe the batteries are lasting so long because I use them with my phone.

They came fully charged in the package and overall are great little speakers that fit in the palm of my hand in their capsule form. Great sound for the size. Definately worth it.

5 Stars Mini Speakers
They advertise, sound beyond their size. Nothing could be farther from the truth.I’m happy with the purchase and the service.

Portable Sound Lab 06BWB01 Handheld Speakers for your iPod Black

Portable Sound Lab 06BWB01 Handheld Speakers for your iPod Black

These portable speakers will deliver high quality sound.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Brilliant sound
Impressive sound. Owned other portable speakers before and none of them can hardly match it.

4 Stars Great- but not for the iPod touch
First, I must agree with those who are impressed with the sound of these speakers as it is indeed wonderful. And while bulky, the unit really isn’t all that heavy- less than ideal for jogging but that’s what those arm band covers are for. My biggest criticism is that the unit is poorly suited for use with the iPod touch (I have the 2nd generation, but the problem is for any iPod touch). The area for the iPod is too small to properly fit the touch- you can wedge it in but you are then unable to access the touch screen. After a few minutes with a rotary cutting tool, I was able to make room for the touch to fit as it should. However, there was another issue- I could not access the “home” buttton at the bottom of the unit. After yet another drill bit was employed, I was able to use my iPod touch without a problem. My four star rating is based on the truly fantastic sound you get for a most reasonable price. Nevertheless, I cannot recommend this unit for somone with an iPod touch unless you have more than just a bit of MacGyver in you. For those with any other model of iPod, this is a great (though admittedly aesthetically challenged) speaker unit with decent portability and excellent sound.

4 Stars So far so good
I did a lot of research and ended up with this product for several reasons:

1. Self contained

2. Portable

3. Best bang for the buck for speakers this size

If you share similar criteria then you will be happy with these speakers. The sound is pretty good for the size and price and the case will provide excellent protection for your iPod. If you want something that can be portable, but most of the time your speakers will remain stationary, then you might want to keep looking.

The one negative that I have so far is one of design. Turning off the power on your iPod does not turn off the power for the speakers. So when you’re done using the iPod, you have to unzip the case and power off the speakers manually. If you don’t, the batteries will completely drain. Would have been nice if they incorporated a power save/time out feature.

4 Stars big sound, little package
I was pleasently surprised by how much sound I got from this speaker. The sound quality is good(good highs and lows) does distort a little when turned way up.

Good speaker in a good package.

5 Stars love it
I got way more than my moneys worth. sounds good, loud for its size. I didn’t have a problem with putting in the batteries like other people said. I was afraid i’d get ripped off (it seemed to cheap to be true) but imaingo is great! i’d definitely recommend it!

5 Stars awesome!
The product was delivered in a timely fashion. Im beyond pleased with the product. The quality of sound is awesome! Im loving it!

5 Stars IPOD Dock Station
Product has big stereo sound for such a small unit. Very portable and convenient. Perfect for my son to listen to his Ipod at work. Didn’t really come with instructions for the remote or the device, but my son is very good at figuring out mechanical things for himself. Good communication with the company and they are very accommodating. Shipping was quick, and around Christmas time that isn’t always the case. I would recommend this product.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Very Good for the Money
Although I do not have anything to compare it to because this is my first ipod experience, I think this is a very good product for the money. Maybe I should have spent a little more and gotten something with a better sound projection.

1 Star Keep your receipt!
Someone else’s review said “You get what you pay for,” and that is the truth. The player worked great for the first 4 months. After that, I got a low tone buzz out of the speakers and now they hardly work at all. The speakers were never dropped or moved since I first plugged the unit in. Keep your receipt because the warranty is only for 90 days. I will not be buying anything else from this company. I am very disappointed and would not recommend anyone buy anything from this company.

1 Star Can’t recommed
I purchased this item as a price/performance compromise. Yeah the audio is just okay, and yeah the light interferes with actually looking at the clock. Not a huge deal, it’s an attractive item regardless.

But after about 5 weeks, it simply stopped working. The blue light randomly comes on and off, it no longer recognizes when my iPod is plugged in, and the remote does nothing. Very disappointing it waited until after my return window at Amazon closed before malfunctioning. I’m extremely unhappy.

Spend your money elsewhere.

4 Stars iLive is good buy for the price
The light on the iLive Stereo Speaker System with iPod Dock (Black) took a little getting used to, but where I use it, it serves as a sort of night light; also, the clock is unnessary, as I move the unit around to different rooms. Those things aside, I was very satisfied with the operation (controls) and the speaker sound. The unit was a good value, considering that most comparable units were twice the price.

3 Stars Slightly underwhelming
Pros:

- attractive design

- fits most ipods

Cons:

- not portable

- average sound quality

The term, “you get what you pay for” about sums it up. It’s not a bad product, but also not something I would recommend to someone else.
