Apple 30 GB iPod AAC MP3 Video Player Black 5 5 Generation

Now that you can buy movies from the iTunes Store and sync them to your iPod, the whole world is your theater. With a 30GB or 80GB iPod in hand, those movies fit comfortably next to TV shows, new iPod games, podcasts, audiobooks, photo albums, and, of course, an entire library of music - up to 20,000 songs, in fact. How much can your pocket hold? That’s up to you and your iPod. It holds up to 20,000 songs, up to 25,000 photos, and up to 100 hours of video - or any combination of each. So you can browse movies on the iTunes Store, download the ones you want (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, perhaps?), and then sync it to your iPod. Same goes for TV episodes, new iPod games, 99? songs, best-selling audiobooks, and an entire universe of free podcasts. Go ahead. Fill ‘er up.With all that music at your fingertips, you may never want to stop listening. Lucky thing your iPod plays audio for up to 20 hours. Or, if you’d rather watch, you can feast your eyes on movies and TV shows for up to six-and-a-half hours. It might be a miracle. Otherwise, it’s hard to explain exactly how 30GB of storage can fit into an iPod that’s over 30% thinner than the previous fourth generation. Or how an 80GB iPod can be the same size as the 60GB model before it. However it happened, it means you can carry your entire music collection - plus a nice selection of video - absolutely everywhere you go. And a 60% brighter, more vibrant display gives your album art, photos, and video extra oomph.Finding what you want to hear among 20,000 songs could be quite a chore - unless you have an iPod. A new interface lets you search your iPod using the patented Click Wheel. And if you’re a fan of live albums, classical works, or anything that sounds best when it’s continuous, iPod supports gapless playback that seamlessly transitions from one song to another.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star “CRAP”
I received this ipod as a gift, and loved it at first, plenty of storage space, videos, podcasts, pictures!!! But it froze up all the time, and when it froze up you had to let the battery die completely then recharge it before you could use it again!! Then after only owning it for 1 year and using it almost every day, it quit completely and was dead!! I then bought a Zune 30GB, and it has been one of the best purchases I have ever made, I have owned it for about 2 years now and it has only froze up once, and when it did it automatically restarted itself and was fine after that!! Please buy a ZUNE, you will not regret it!!

5 Stars Works great
I bought my Ipod recondition, I was scared it would fail, so far it has held up and working fine. It seems the dealer I bought it from made good on their work, if it last longer and plays for time to come I might buy again from the seller.

4 Stars Ipod 30G
We initially received an ipod with an error message but did not have any problems returning it for one that was working well. Overall, we were very satisfied with the purchase and good customer service.

1 Star NEVER GOT THE PRODUCT
I CONTACTED THE SELLER AND HE NEVER GOT BACK TO ME AND I NEVER RECIEVED THE I POD.

1 Star very disappointed
My daughter had problems with her new iPod right away. It would not hold a charge. She said she would register it on line and get it serviced.(It was her Christmas gift). It would not register, so she took it to an Apple store. They informed her that it was a conterfeit.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars An amazing little instrument
My reason for getting an iPod was to play iTunes from my computer in a dock for listening in my living room. I have a large number of music CDs that I never listened to because of the bother of hunting them up. It is so simple to feed them into my computer and then into the iPod. It is easy to operate and works wonderfully. I was never much for feeding CDs into a player and having to change them ever little bit. I would recommend an iPod in a music dock as the way to go if you want continuous background music for any situation.

5 Stars IPod Nano 16 GB
For the holidays I received a 8 GB IPod Nano 4th Generation. I quickly used up the memory. I loved it so much I purchased the 16 GB Nano 4th Generation in the same color (green). Very easy to use. This is the first Ipods I have owned. Very good product.

5 Stars Ipod 4th gen nano
I bought this for my dad who never owned an ipod before. he loves it.

5 Stars Easiest way to purchase items
The iPod my son received for his birthday is wonderful! It’s a great product. Also, the purchase of this item was great. Ordering was fast and easy. The item was received in a timely manner. All was great!!

4 Stars Okay device but depends on extra software to unleash its power
If you use this iPod with iTunes, it then really makes you nervous. There are options online for software that allows you to use it with Windows Media Player and then, only then, it becomes powerful. Try DOPISP…

Besides, very nice design, lightweight, same ole docking connector, which makes it backwards compatible with all of your gadgets/accessories (car charger, sound dock, etc…).

I do recommend buying a protective screen for it.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Good player, poor software
I got this one since my 60gb 5th gen video one got stolen. I figured this would be better since it’s newer, but it’s actually quite a bit worse.

The screen is much darker so you can’t see it without the backlight, and there isn’t an option to turn off the backlight either. The “screen saver” sucks, it tells me the time which I could care less about seeing as how I have a watch and a phone, so I have to take it off of hold and click in order to view the song.

Since itunes is intent on scanning for gapless playback every single time I plug in my ipod, I use winamp for managing it. This works for the most part, but for some reason certain songs will not work unless I put them on the ipod through itunes. This is really inconvenient and never happened with my 5th gen one. Whenever I have to do this, itunes starts scanning my songs again and before I can cancel it it screws up the id3 tags so afterward I always have to go back into winamp and fix them.

The clickwheel is not as sensitive as it used to be, so scrolling it through the iskin is sometimes choppy or non-responsive. Again, the 5th gen one had no problem whatsoever.

The 120gb classic is still getting firmware updates, but the 80gb is done, for no apparent reason, even though it still has bugs. Apple dropped support way too early.

I really think they took a step back with this version, I guess the battery life is a little better, but the other faults overshadow it completely.

3 Stars Ipod classic
I have the 80gb version of this one, within the first 100ish days the first one died on me, I took it to my local apple store where they reset it, which I did many times to get this thing going again, sent me home and said well if it happens again come back and see us, well the day after that it froze so hard you couldnt event reset it, I plugged it in so they could see exactly what I was talking about when I got back, So the rep says wow sir what did you do to this thing? He said it looks brand new, well duhh The day i got this I put it in a very nice case. He hands it too me to take the case off, so I did, he holds the base and wiggles the top part and goes HAVE YOU TAKEN THIS APART?????? I said umm NO IDIOT. so he finds some of their “techies” and they say no thats never been apart so he turns to me and says Ok well we will replace this for you. Long story I know, Anyway so I sign all this stupid paperwork so I can get home to reload my ipod, I get home and look over the stack of paperwork he gave me and hidden in a bunch of mumbo jumbo crap I see the warranty on the “new one” I have one month left im like OMFG, So I read on alittle more and find out its a Referb’d unit. I felt ripped off, I do enjoy my ipod daily but I dont think I will every buy another one again just from their customer service/support.

5 Stars allmost perfect!
The I-Pod I recived works *GREAT* It’s in almost perfect condishion and the shiping rate was worth it. thanks agin look forward to buying another one verry soon .

1 Star i have one advise about buying this item….DON’T
Didn’t learn from the Classic ipod 60, and bought this one…

was setting on a chair, and dropped it, so it started going crazy and when i went to fix it, they told me I’ll have to spend 2/3 of its price, as thr hard disk was shattered!!!

I don’t know what type of a device shatters when you drop it from a 30 cm on a carpet…but this is your ipod…

never gonna buy an ipod again

5 Stars Apple iPod classic 80 gig
Apple iPod classic 80 GB Black (6th Generation):I recieved this iPod as a gift and it is my first MP3 so I’m still learning it and how to use it. I love its sound and all the space it hods. It seems that Apple needs to allow more customer service then just one phone call for help and setup. For a newbie to MP3s I have questions and np place for answers. This product came with no manuals or quick guides.

4 Stars Good little guy
This is a really good ipod if you don’t need the functionality of a touch or memory of an 80GB. I like it a lot.

5 Stars Apple iPod Nano 3rd Gen Review
Great product. bought for my girlfriend the Christmas before last, and she’s still using it for everything.

5 Stars Finally an IPod!
After purchasing two separate MP3 players that proceed to conk out on me within less than 6 months, I decided I would finally break down and buy and IPod. It was so worth it! I didn’t need anything fancy because all I really do is listen to music. I just wanted it to last, be easy to work, and have good sound quality. So far, the IPod Nano is living up to my expectations and I have plenty of space left for new songs! I would highly recommend this product to everyone!

5 Stars Great Ipod
I bought the ipod for my teenage granddaughter and she really loves it. It is a great product and would recommend it.

5 Stars My kids love this iPod
I purchased two of these iPods for my two kids and we are all very happy with them. Free shipping, great price, no complaints here. I put a mix of music, video, and pics on each one and both are completely consumed by it. It appears to be so small, but I’ve watched some of the video on there and it is better than one would think. For kids or adults, great item to use when killing time…specially for trips in the vehicle. Why spend big bucks on a built in DVD system? These things don’t require DVDs and each kid can watch their own show…worked out exactly as I had hoped.
