5 Stars solidly built, works great, looks good
I’m glad I didn’t mess around with generic cables this time like I did in the past. Too often the third party cheap cables break easily, don’t connect right, or the wires break inside the cable so you have to keep playing with the cable to get a connection.

This wasn’t cheap but it works perfectly, it’s easy to connect, and solidly built. There’s a tiny logo on the ipod end to let you know which way to plug in the cable which save a lot of frustration. It stays in firmly, comes out easily.

5 Stars Works with old and new
I lost my Ipod wire and of course there is plenty of generics on the market for dirt cheap but every single one of them has reviewers who say they regret the fact they went cheap. This is the real deal. Its the newest wire for iphones and classic.. But it works on my ipod video. No problems no errors.. if you have to do something typically better to just do it right then attempt to save a few bucks and waste it on faulty products+shipping not to mention the grief, when you can just do it right the 1st time.

1 Star for running?! not
i bought this because of the other great reviews for using this to go running. These headphones worked for two days. then I went running, at the 3rd mile, it started making my songs skip and the buttons stopped working. If i unplug them from my ipod touch 2nd gen, the song plays fine. When i plug them back in, the song starts skipping. and forget using the buttons for anything.

4 Stars Good Sound - Doesnt work with 1st Gen ipod Touch
I like apples earphones because they are comfortable in my tiny ears. So I decided to try these out when my other ones fell apart and they were just as expected except with the same decent sound quality of the earbuds shipped with ipods with the exception of one major mistake: I didn’t read close enough - these don’t work with first gen touch ipods. Bummer! But it was my fault that I didn’t read the (not so) fine print.

5 Stars Great for the iTouch!
I bought these specifically for my Ipod Touch, 2G. Sound quality is good, they are basically the standard Ipod ear buds. If you’re interested in making Voip calls through your touch, then these are a must. I use them for making phone calls through Skype (using the Fring app). They work perfectly out of the box (and yes, it is hard to open!) I called my husband’s cell phone and he reported my sound quality being just fine. It’s too bad that they don’t work on my Mac too…

4 Stars Great Product fro Runners and Skype! - They could be cheaper though…
I got these for my ipod touch 2G and they work like a charm. I needed something that would allow me to use the nike + ipod application AND not having to go crazy about clicking the right controls on the ipod. With a couple clicks you can FFW/RWD a song, pause and +/- the volume. The nike ipod app for the touch needs a little improvement to work as well as the nano did but this headphones help a lot.

ALSO, you can use your ipod touch as a Skype phone with these headphones. Very convenient!

I didn’t realize it when I purchased this, but this item includes the Apple iPod Dock Connector to USB Cable with it.

4 Stars Compact,quick charging
This comes stock with the iPhone 3G, phone charges really fast. The only reason I docked a star is the prongs don’t fold down.

A few things to note:

1) Why is this $35 on Amazon, and only $30 from Apple? More so, why is a freaking power adapter $30!!! Part of the answer might be…

2) Beware of after-market (used/ebay/etc) power adapters. There was a recall on these back in September. The new (replacement) ones have a small green dot on the side with the prongs. You can’t just buy a cheapo off ebay and take it in for an exchange, because Apple requires the serial # from the phone.

3) Older dock chargers and wall warts don’t work on the iPhone 3G (they changed the pin config around for the iPhone 3G) but I used my older iPOD USB cables and this wall wart adapter and the phone charged just fine.

1 Star Cheap Ripoff. Not Official Product WARNING
This product is cleverly disguised as Apple Brand Headphones, and all but the quality remains. These headphones look almost exactly the same except the cord is thinner in diameter. Furthermore the “lows” are missing from the sound. The combination of these two facts leads me to believe that there are at least one of the wires missing from the product (the wires inside the cord that is). Pay for the real thing from an honest dealer.

These headphones got here in good condition and work fine. But they do hurt your ear after a while. They can play pretty loud but all the external sound around you also gets in your ear. So for [...] bucks its ok you could spend a little more and get better quality. But I have had worse than these.

I do not recommend. Just splurge and buy a good set of earphones/earbuds. I love Apple and Ipod but these earphones are so big that they hurt my ears and I eventually have to take them out. I really am not a complainer but these things are kind of ridiculous.

Anyone who has owned a mid to late series Apple computer has used one of these little numbers. Simply put, It Does what it is designed to do. It works great at a decent distance, It seamlessly controls Front Row ans well as 5 (that I have tried) of the most popular Front Row alternatives. Its a must have for the Front Row/Mac/ipod user.

I have the latest generation unibody designed Macbook Pro with Intel 2.53 Ghz Processor, 4 GB RAM and 320 GB Hard drive. I wanted the Apple Remote to give me added convenience for operation.

It has an excellent range. I can control it from across the den (19 feet) - if I needed to. Practically, you will control it from about 5 to 10 feet away (i.e. college dorm room or apartment). I do not have an IPOD dock to assess the functionality of the remote with the IPOD.

I highly recommend the Apple Remote for the newly designed Macbook Pro.

5 Stars Great for the iMac
I have one of these remotes that came with my iMac, and I like it. It helps turn my iMac into a great flat-panel monitor for watching DVDs or streamed videos. It has a magnet on the side, which means I can stick it to my iMac and just leave it there.

I can’t really see the point of getting one of these for an iPod, though. My iMac has a big screen, which means I like to watch movies on it at a distance. I guess there must be other uses for it when it comes to an iPod that I’m not aware of. For watching video on an iMac, this is a must have.

4 Stars You Must Know..
Okay look. Lots of people say “NOO” to this product, but you have to know what it’s purpose is! I just recently bought a MacBook, and in the instructions, it always talked about the Apple Remote. I found that this was the remote, and the “For iPod” actually means “for all mac products with an IR port” It DOES work. Maybe not perfectly, because it’s an IR (infra-red). but well enough to be able to move through music, video and even powerpoint presentations with ease from across the room! Last I checked, that’s what they said it would do. It DOES work with the Universal Dock. And especially well with the MacBook and MacBook pros. If this is what you want from a remote. Buy this one!
